I'm working on a trade with a guy and he wants to include a brick of this ammo. I remember it from the old days but not how it performed as not owning a semi-auto rifle at that time. Does anyone know how this ammo would work in a newer Savage model 64 semi-automatic? As far as every bullet firing? Does it tend to jam up on ejection or loading? Thanks for any replies.

Back in the 90's Bell Distributing was selling bricks of 500 rounds of the copper plated "Super Extra" 40-gr .22 ammo for 12.99 a piece. I still have a couple bricks. High quality ammo. You should have no issues with it if properly stored.

Canadian tire carried Aguila rimfire ammo during the ammo drought of 2016, my SR 22 likes both the copper plated and non plated stuff, but my pistol only likes the plated. The unplated rounds cause my pistol to lead up quickly.

If it is the old yellow boxes of Aguilla they date from the late 70s into the 80s somewhere.....possibly early 90s. Then it vanished from stores until it was reincarnated in its present form.

Can Tire sold the stuff and, like most 22 ammo back then, was dirt cheap.

The plated hollow point was accurate. Not sure that it will operate all semi autos though. It was great cheap ammo for vermin control around the farm.
