Hi, i am the only one having extractions issues with the Aiguila super extra hollow point? I bought a brick and they are so much waxed that my boltaction can't extract them properly. I've tried today to clean them one by one and it seems to be better but it's annoying. I'm wondering why the put so much wax?

Thanks

They always have a pile of wax.
If CABELAS ever gets around to shipping the brick I ordered to try , I'll let you know if mine are problematic

Would a heat gun on low set a round off? I’m wondering if you could melt the wax off, it might be faster than wiping with a rag.

Hot water works with cast bullet lube but I don’t know if the bullets are sealed enough to prevent moisture contamination.

I bought a brick, too and am unimpressed.
The wax feels very sticky and dry. It gave me problems in my 1911-22 and my MkII bolt. Mostly extraction issues.
I'll finish it off and take a hard pass on it in the future.

What gun are you having the problems with? I shoot lots of it out of out of my Mark 2, A22, cooeys, etc and haven’t noticed any problems.

I have a friend shooting aguila super extra 40 grain copper plated solids through a Savage cub that won't extract either. He says other ammo will extract fine but this stuff gets stuck and he has to use a knife to pry the round out of the chamber. It's definitely the wax I'm thinking. His gun needs a good cleaning now and he's gotta go buy some new bird hunting ammo.

I have bricks and bricks and bricks of the stuff and have never even noticed the wax on them. They feel and look normal in hand.
