Yes this topic pops up every year and I've posted on it at least once.......

Just wondering if anybody has come across it, lately?

I checked in the US in states and places I would expect to see it, but its like ammo-cryptology and I have no sightings to report....

Anybody come across some or have some they want to part with?

I don't reload, but I always wondered if the reload crowd could develop a similar round for shiz & giggles.

I'm also wondering if anybody has seen or used the Colibri?

Not sure if this is true, but I heard that they stopped importing ammo into Canada because new regulations were put in place that there had to be French as well as English warnings on the box of ammo and they refused to do so. Again not sure if there's any truth to that but a LGS owner said that was one of the reasons.
Maybe someone else knows something about this? Cause I'd like to know if it's possible to pick some up somewhere as well.

I spoke to Kate at ammo supply and they might try to get some. The problem is, if you (Aguila) can sell everything you have before it's even made, why bother with a new market like Canada. I tried some of the Colibri and Super Colibri and they are the quietest round I have ever fired. I would love to try the SSS!

I haven`t seen any of the 22sss but I have a box of the Colibri that I picked at a gun show from a company called Kirsh Enterprises , its fairly expensive about $10 ,and its a little quieter the CB`s and the same level of accuracy.

I've tried the sss before. Gave the brick to the local gun club. None of my rifles would shoot it. It would key hole at 10 yards. Hope you have better luck than I did

The key holing with SSS was an issue based on barrel twist, it requires a specific twist to shoot properly. Its all excelerant and no powder - how loud was it?

The SSS load is a crap shoot... ten years ago, I put together a 1:9 gun just for them... the project was a flop. The Colibri and Super Colibri are in the same boat accuracy wise... I bailed and went back to standard loads in 16 twist guns...

I thought i had read (somewhere) that the SSS was developed for special forces to use in the jungle.....?

Sound familiar to you?

picked up a brick a looonnnng time ago in a gunshow... almost a full brick, yet dont know if Ill ever get around to usin em

maybe I'll part ways with them, maybe the unique factor will make me hang onto them, meh... we'll see :p

Had a brick and the stabilizing was the key I was shooting them in my savage bv and they would take either take the dots out of the bullseye at 50 or not even touch the bullseye at 50 yrds. I also have over half a brick of the super max (1650 fps) that I have tried in various 22's and nothing great either that I'll probably end off trading or selling
