Hadn't seen anyone post anything about this part and I just got mine so i thought id put up a bit of info on how it works. I cant pretend to compare it to any other brake on this rifle as its the only one ive tried. But I can state how much of a difference it makes VS having no brake at all.

First, it looks decent. Its not as striking as a brake with holes or vents in the sides but its solid can like exterior looks cool on the end of the barrel. From the front it looks awesome.

Mounting was easy thanks to the grooves for a wrench. You can get it super tight and so far after 300 rounds it hasnt budged at all. It does NOT have a groove for the indexing pin on the VZ, but so far thats not been an issue.

Build quality is excellent. No imperfections or blemishes of any kind, nothing at all to be disappointed with. For the $70 I spent I feel I got everything I paid for.

The difference between no brake and this one is incredible. Gas is expelled straight forward. Recoil is reduced by at least %30 and muzzle climb during rapid firing by at least %50. This makes staying on target after each shot so much easier and has improved my overall accuracy in a big way. When firing the gasses are shot in a straight line forward instead of in a burst or cloud around the muzzle. Which also looks cool while your shooting.

Glad you like it. It does look pretty cool!!!

It's interesting to read your observations on the muzzle rise and recoil reduction. We don't have the equipment to measure this scientifically, but we did notice reduced felt recoil and muzzle rise in our testing. The science and theories behind this are many, but it is nice to read an unbiased confirmation.

I find it expensive for what it is. Maybe just me.

Also, when did you buy your CZ ? It has a sks type sight when other have AK type sights, which one is the lastest ?

Most vz-58s are made with surplus parts so you will get slight variation depending when the parts were originally made, like every gun they went through a few changes over the years. Some have ak style some have sks style front sight hoods
