Thats right my son and I are heading to the gun club in a few minutes to do some more work/load developement on 7 rifles this morning...

He's taking 4...

Husquavarna in 270 Weatherby that I just gave him
Huquavarna Featherweight in 30-06 that his grandfather just gave him
Anshultz 22LR bolt rifle I gave his girlfriend for Christmas
my old Ruger M77 in 22-250 that I gave him this year when I bought my Sako 22-250.

I'm taking 3...

20" barreled Rem 700 LSS in 30-06
26" barreled Rem 700 LSS in 300RUM
21" barreled Rem 700 LSS in 375RUM

Beats going to a day job... :p

I was at the range yesterday, only took 3 rifles and one handgun though. Going to do some shorter range shooting today at my private 90 yard range in my backyard.;)

Hopefully I''ll get a chance to go to my private "range" next week and put some rounds through the .223 i got from my father in law.

Unlimited range time, up to 800 yards (if I want it), no idiots. Can't beat it.

Did a little banging the other day with a Colt Commander in 45, a S&W 1955 in 45 ACP, a 4" S&W Model 25 in 45 LC, a 4" S&W Model 29-2 in 44 Mag, a 6.5" S&W Model 624 in 44 Special, a 3.5" S&W Registered Magnum, a 5" S&W Model 27 in 357 Mag, a 2.5" S&W Model 19 in 357 Mag, a 4" S&W Model 28 in 357 Mag, and a 6.5" S&W Outdoorsman in 38 Special. 'Twas a fun day indeed. Burned up a whole bunch of old ammo to make way for the new stuff. Good, good times. - dan

Went yesterday, did a little trap shooting and some paper targets.

Brought 3 12 gauges (Mossberg 500, Maverick 88, and Winchester pump) Single shot .410, Remington Mod 41 and Savage MKII .22, and the .303 Lee Enfield No.1 MK3. )

Made for an interesting afternoon. Shot a whole box of clays and over 100 rounds of 12 gauge in about two hours, not to mention some centrefire and rimfire.

Just got back it was very busy there today we were lucky enough to grab one of the last shooting benches.

Even though it was busy everything worked out great and we had an awesome father/son time.

Need to figure out how to lower the point of impact with my son's Husquavarna 30-06 with the rear iron sight set at it's lowest setting it still hit about 1' high @ 50 yards.

Which range CC ?
I had Ridgedale all to myself yesterday AM, but it took over half an hour to clean everybody's garbage, take all the shot targets from the frames, sweep up the brass in the rifle shed, all the while being careful not to get a cut from all the broken glass as a result of the shot whiskey bottle targets.
After that it was fun, but sometimes cleaning up after others takes away from the enjoyment !!

One inch high at 50 yd with iron sights is about right. That will have it a bit less than two inches high at 100, and pretty close to right on at 200.

Ted

Wish it was only 1 inch high it is 1 foot high at 50 yards...

We were at the Mission range.

I am just now having a taller front bead mounted on an old rifle I picked up that does the same thing. Oddly it is a 22lr barrel with a ladder sight that goes to 1000yds. Yeah right. A taller bead will lower the barrel if you are unable to drop the rear sight any more. Either that or just scope the damn thing and forget about the sights. Yeah, I know, too easy:)
FYI front bead replacement usually doesnt run more than $30 unless you go fancy. They are available in a variety of heights and there are inbetweens that can add to the height too.

I thought I saw your truck up there from the lower ground.
Dont forget why we have lots of units in the first place. This is so's we gots lots of problems to fix, eh!!
