Due to Ontario's ridiculous wait times I bought and sold a .45 around the same time...the .45 I sold was to someone out of province and the transfer was approved the next day. I of course shipped it out right a way, but then waited around 3 weeks for mine to go through here...Then Canada Post screwed up the delivery and my guaranteed 2 day wait turned into 5 days...at last, she is here! I got her all cleaned up, threw on my grips and here she is, my stainless SW1911!

The moral of the story: always own at least two .45s :)

That is HOT.

I have a Kimber SIS Custom in .45 and I think it looks awesome with its black finish - but that S&W looks damned fine in stainless.

Nice pic. Where is that?

It's not me, first of all. It's a member of the LAPD's SIS, for whom the Kimber SIS is named.

I saw an article on the SIS in Combat Handguns (2008, Nov) and went to P&D to see one - well, they were sold out. Took me until mid-2009 to finally get there when they had one in stock, and I snapped it up as soon as I handled it. I have zero regrets - even though it took some "breaking in" to run 100% reliably.

It is no problem, I will paintshop a mustache on my new baby when I get a chance so she gets some attention too lol

Nice! I have an SW1911 as well (same finish). Unfortunately I had nothing but serious feed problems from day one! It has been at S&W here in BC for over a month now under warranty. I put close to 1,000 rounds of all types through it, but kept jamming! Drove me nuts especially given that it was brand new out of the box. It is a beautiful gun I must admit and I ordered some stainless steel parts to replace all the black ones on the gun (the S&W finish on the black parts isn't that great). Anyone else experience feed problems with the SW1911 45? I am wondering if it is the feed ramp or a problem with the external extractor. I hope S&W gets it figured out sometime this decade and I can get my new toy back problem free and have some fun with it at the range.

Looks kind of creepy with the 'stache (in a ### ####star sort of way) I like it better without :D

You are obviously not an operator or you would not mock my 1911's tactical mustache.

Got it to the range and I was very impressed. It ate everything, wolf, hollow points, +p, the works. It took me some playing to get the site picture right but here are my last 8 rounds in one big pile (only from 7 meters, but I am a lousy shot, so this is impressive! Ignore the 9mm holes those are from siting in my beretta storm)
