I've always been a Glock fan but I recently decided to venture into new territory. I finally decided to give the S&W M&P a look to see whether or not I would like to add it to my ever expanding striker fire polymer collection. I did and finally broke down by purchasing The Performance Center M&P40L with C.O.R.E. It comes with a ported 5 inch stainless barrel, enhanced trigger with adjustable trigger stop, Performance Center sear, C.O.R.E. tools, extra backstraps with improved stippling (much better grip) and manual. This is an excellent shooter to say the least. With it's new better stippled grips it's very comfortable to hold and shoot. As for shooting, this has to be one the most accurate guns I own. It's a pleasure to shoot. Take my advice and check this puppy out if your looking for new polymer to add to the safe.

i was very impressed with mine.
i think its the combination of the higher sites with the longer slide but i really found mine to be super accurate (for me anyways).
i caved in and put optics on mine and am having fun trying out that new adventure.

but i definitely agree with you they are a fine poly pistol, right now its my #1 pick.

Nice, I have an M&P9 that I really enjoy shooting. Have fun with yours, I've been thinking of buying a Glock but I can't get past the ergonomics. They shoot great but it feels like a square block in my hands.

where and how much?

Smith & Wesson lists it on their website at $812.00US. By the time it gets to your front door it will cost you around $1200CDN. This pistol is very rare up here and extremely hard to get. The only one that I ever saw is the one I purchased from Ellwood Epps. I purchased it the day it was posted. I would say that I was very lucky to have seen it on their website. Below is the S&W URL for the pistol.....

Got a Giock 17, a Glock 41 and a Smith & Wesson M&P .40. Love em all, and can't find that either is better than the other.

congrats! it must be an amazing gun. I love my M&P40 so much and with the 9mm barrel, it's one for two. Both shoots like dream. Maybe some days I will give it an Apex flat face trigger kit to make it perfect.

Yes, that is fair market value.
