Compared to those cheesy Lugers and the other flotsam and jetsam out there, an actual Borchardt, who could say no?
They don't get much classier than that.
 
Needs an engraved motif of some elk and my trusty shotgun. Can't forget to electro pencil my SIN number on there too.
 
For $100,000, there should be a million close up photos and no blurry ones. Right now, there are four photos, one close up and it is blurry.
 
Doesn't adding the shoulder stock south of the 49th turn it into an SBR and thus subject to NFA?
 
He's asking $100,000 and he's taking pictures with a $30 camera?

Even if I had that kind of money, this seller seems pretty unprofessional.

Mags are not matching, holster is rough, bluing isn't great....I think this guy has head in the clouds with his buy-it-now price.

I wonder if it will actually sell and for how much?

I had one in my hands quite a few years ago. It's the kind of thing you don't forget.

Price was humungous, though: $1,000, although I was made a serious offer of $750.... which was 4 months' take-home pay at the time.

Still, it was AWFULLY nice. When I saw the title for this thread, I thought automatically, "Gee, a pair of cased Borchardts!"

They are a VERY impressive piece of engineering, even if $100k is on the rich side. Was there not on in Canada that went for 35k just last year?

There was one in the UK a couple of years ago IIRC that went for this kind of coin, but had all the goodies, and mint. If I could get even this one for 4 months take home, I would.
