I bought a aia 10/22 action a few months ago and recently picked up a nice wood stock for it. What I am missing is the stock mounting screw. Does anyone know the size and thred pitch of the bolt I'm missing. I believe it would be the same as a ruger 10/22. Thanks in advance.

Could call first to double check but he had a bunch last time I was in. I bought an action there and he gave the stock screw for free. The head of the Allen screw was a touch too big for the stock so I had to drill the stock abit to accommodate.

1/4 x 20 Stove Bolt will fit just cut to length . Any hardware store will have these.

the RIA screws are different then the ruger screws.
one uses the fine thread and the other uses the coarse threading.
you will also find the top 4 tiny screws on the top of the receiver are the same - different then the ruger.

That's good to know. I imagine the v block bolts are different as well?

you know what..... i never checked that when i was comparing them.
id assume so since everything else that is threaded is coarse where as the rugers are fine threaded.
