I am looking at getting one of the 2 stocks for my 700P and was wondering if it was worth getting the adjustable cheek peice on the 1.5? I have heard it makes it a PITA to clean the rifle. Does anyone have pics of there 1.0 and 1.5? Thanks!

If that is the only reason then, get the 2.0. You swing the whole butt to the side for cleaning or storage.

The cheekpiece isn't that hard to adjt back to where you had it - just put a mark on the legs where it was in relation to the stock top surface.

I had a 2.0 myself - loved it. Just upgraded to a better choice for me - USMC M40A3! Not to say that if I wanted to do another Rem700 that I wouldn't use that stock again.

The 1.0 will clear no problem. 1.5 is just a little nuscience - nothing major.

Price will be the ultimate factor IMHO - 2.0 - do I need these features for this much money. Your decision, no one else's.

You want the adjustable cheek rest. As much it might get in the way of the bolt, it provides that perfect cheekweld. I have a 2.0 on mine and it comes out without adjusting or folding. I have to wiggle and hold my tongue right, but it comes out. In reality, I just fold the stock up, but its nice to know that I can pull the bolt without folding. My other buddy just put a small nitch in the front of the cheek piece with a dremel.

Used to have the 1.0 on a Rem. Sendero and the cleaning rod (Pro shot) was slightly bending over the fixed cheek piece when i was cleanind it.

Take the folding stock or the adj cheek piece so you can remove it for cleaning.
