AICS 308 10 round mags

I just got my AICS mags in the mail today. First thing I was wondering if any of the magpuls fit them, or if there is a similar product for them like the Magpul ranger plates. Awesome mags, too bad they're $100+ each

There are no other mags that will work instead of the AI mags, on the upside, they are very good quality.

No I meant do the MagPuls fit the AICS mags as in the first product magpul made. So I can pull the mags from a vest or mag holder quicker/easier. They do seem to be very high quality though

You can work them on,but it is a tight fit IIRC....................

Doable but, as Skullboy said, it is very tight. Question is really, why ? In my experience, there isn't such time pressure for a quick mag change in a match but I don't profess to know so that's why I'm asking.

It's more just to get a better grip on them. They don't seem to have any friction if you ever wanted/needed to do a rapid mag change. It's a bolt action rifle so anything that speeds up reload time is a plus since shots are usually more precise and time consuming. You are right though, competitions and matches wouldn't see an improvement with them. I may not even get the Magpuls, I'll see how well everything works together after the build is complete.

Perhaps try some skateboard tape, either the sandpaper type or the textured?

Typical source is Wolverine Supplies but they are out.

Accurate Mag are available from Brownell's but too bad they aren't an approved exporter.

I got the mags at Wolverine Supplies, as for the grip tape it would work on the seated mag but to pull the second from my vest is where I want the loop on the bottom as the mag fills the whole pouch pocket and the bottom sits flush at the opening of the pouch.

Alpha makes mags that will work for AI. Price range pretty much the same... However, the 10rd mags are shorter/more compact.

Any source for the Alpha mags? Alpha won't ship outside of the US.

Cut a piece of a rubber tire tube and stretch it over if all you want is a better gripping surface.
