I am looking for some help in knowing/understanding problems I may encounter, and the necessary "tweaking" to solve said problems. The challenge I am facing is using an AICS magazine (300WM) in a CDI DBM kit, but with 6.5x55 Swede rounds. I had posted in the Precision Rifle forum asking if the setup would work, but was advised to ask for help here in the Gunsmithing forum due to the necessary work which the 300WM magazine will require in order to hold/feed 6.5x55 Swede rounds without issues.
Having said that, I am wondering if anybody here has done this project before, or if someone could point me in the right direction to find a reputable smith capable of the task. From what little I understand about the task, it is not something I want to try on my own.
As a side note, the action is a Tikka T3 Varmint w/ factory barrel, CDI bottom metal (Tikka LA) and it will be sitting in a McMillan A-5.
