Those of you who have the AICS stock on your 700, can you provide some feedbacks?

I'm looking for feedback on the foldable version in particular... ie. is it easy to fold/unfold and does it add a lot of weight to the stock, or have affect on the sturdyness of the stock, etc? Thanks.

The grip is pretty small...I prefer the HS Precision wide grip myself, feels a lot sturdier. That having been said I haven't used it very extensively.

I liked the pistol grip/thumbhole arrangement. I have med to lge hands and I was happy that my hands were not any larger. I like the straight line design and the magazine feeding arrangement. Absolutely bombproof... Hey, what can I say? It's milspec !! Everything was well thought out.

I liked how the chassis fit the Remmy action so very well, that glass bedding was not needed.

My only complaint is that I'm too old, and the rifle combination is too heavy. Don't let that weight stop you from buying one of the best stock systems around.

I'm just thankful that it ain't me deployed to Azzkrakistan.....

My 2 cents worth,

Barney

Here is my rig with an AICS stock (thanks Hungry) and I love it. The weight decreases felt recoil and turns your 700 into a tack driver.

I've had the stage one and the stage two.... like the stage one better, lighter and I never really used the folding option on the stage two. I tried an HS stock for awhile but then went back to the AI system. Heavy but nicer to shoot and the mag system rocks :)

Ouch! Well that's about the same as a McMillan...
I love the look of the stocks myself and it's a really nice rig, but from what I've shot I love the HS Precision stock. I like how you don't grip it you just kind of...hold it.

But you also get one of the better detachable mag systems with the AICS.

They are roughly $900.00 to $1000.00 Cdn. Contact Mr. Wolverine for pricing.

I prefer the AICS thumbhole set up over the H-S precision as I hated the fat grip area on the H-S stock. The AICS I weighs about one pound more then the H-S stock.

does anyone near edmonton own one of these stocks? i'd love to shoulder it and see how it fits my frame.

i wont drool on it i promise:D

If you really want one you can fondle mine, let me know we can meet at one of the shops in town. They are a little over a 1000, but well worth the money when you are all said and done. The stage one chassis is probably best for everyone at a cheaper price than the other 2 models, the folding stock and adjustable cheek piece in my opinion are just flare. But some people may find those accessories necessary.
