hello i was wondering if anyone has any expeirences with aim point clones or other red dot clones out their? quality, reliability? any issues or information would be great. If ya have had a good expeirence from some where did you purchase them from?

this might be a dumb question, but when you guys are refering to clones your talking about the ncstar scopes, correct? ie the ones Marstar is selling on their website?

Out of the ones Marstar sells, which ones in paticular do you find best bang for the buck?

Sorry to barge in on this thread but I am seriously considering buying one but have no clue which one to get for my m14 scout setup........

All i know is you pay for them and someone mails them, more to follow if this thread is around when the mail gets here in a week or so.

New Century Star (NCStar) is not an aftermarket clone company. They are located in the USA but all their work comes in from china. The general opinion is that they are cheap junk. But knock offs they are not.

I purchased one from Fabsports for my ruger build and it has held up flawlessly. I also have an aimpoint clone that in every way looks like the aimpoint Micro. I got it from Ki11ercane here from CGN. It too is holding up very well. I beat these optics with run and gun skills and drills shooting from various shooting positions. I am quite happy with the performance I get from both. They seem well put together, but for the money I paid, I don't expect a lifetime of reliable use.......but for a year now, the NC has held up great. Time will tell about the aimpoint clone.
Hope this helps a bit.

Click some of the links at the top. Frontier sells NCStars, so does Marstar.
Its not up there but 1337tactical is a good canadian site. Send a PM to Ki11ercane and see what else he offers.

What are you looking for??

google spotscope and see what you find. Nice little rig if you don't need your optic for real world work.

I use an aimpoint comp m4 but hear good reports on the spot scope, was thinking of putting one on a 10/22, guys are using them on 223's with no real issues
