Aim point Pro Vs Vortex Sparc 2

Trying to find a Rds for my first AR and was initially looking at an eotech but have been scared off in light of the news. Hoping to get some input on the pros/cons of the Pro vs the Sparc. Still trying to save money for bullets but doubt I will be buying multiple optics in the future and am trying to justify the aim point at double the cost. Not sure if there might be sales coming up or if the usd is going to increase prices?

I have an Aimpoint pro no regrets at all.

Aimpoint PRO was designed for "Patrol Rifles", so it will take a licking and keep ticking. Battery lasts several years too.

The SPARC2 is a recreational RDS. That said, it's a pretty darned good one and will handle the beating during CQB matches and the like.

I wouldn't hesitate to mount one on my AR

I've never had an aimpoint. Have had a few eotechs. Just picked up my first sparc for a Beretta cx4 and I'm pretty impressed with it.
