AIMPOINT.......5 part demo on the Aimpoint red dot series ( VIDEO )

Aimpoints are bulletproof.

So are ACOGs. Just ask Sgt. Todd B. Bowers.

I don't know. I'm still thinking Eotech.
The aimpoint looks good but....
Anyone have range time with both?

Seems that people who do serious training and train those that do the serious work, agree that the Aimpoint is superior in the Reliablity/Durability department. Aimpoint also has no equal in the battery longevity dept also.

The battery life of the Aimpoint is extreme. However, with a run time of between 600-1100 hours for a 512/552 series EOTech I fail to see the issue. For those who's lives depend on their gear administrative tasks such as checking/changing worn or low batteries is a no brainer. Checking ones batteries is no different than ensuring ones magazines are loaded and all rounds seated properly. Failure to do either is poor practice, not poor design.

For those who's lives may not depend on it, the battery life is a moot point. Either optic works well. The Aimpoint requires a mount where the EOTech has an integral mount. The long tube on the Aimpoints causes some users to "tunnel" or lose their ability to monitor their peripheral areas. Its really personal preference. You won't be disappointed with either.
