I just got a Comp M3 and the front lens is quite canted, so much that the reflected image is noticeably off. I don't recall noticing this on any other Aimpoints I've had previously but I don't have another here to compare this to.

Anyone else seen this before??

Does the dot reflect back strait?

If yes then its fine. ALL red-dots have a lens that is angled towards the LED emitter. If I remember, my old ML3 had quite an extreme cant to it, but my Aimpoint Micro is pretty extreme as well.

Here is a pic from Aimpoints website to demonstrate it, but as long as your dot is lining up then yes its perfectly fine :D

This is how the Aimpoint principle works: the red light from the LED is reflected back to your eye from the front lens (double lens). All other light passes through unobstructed.

The difference between Aimpoint’s solution…
Regardless of where you position your eye, the re flection of the LED is always parallel with the sight’s optical axis thanks to the design of the double lens and its light refraction property. The points of aim and impact always coincide.
