Aimpoint Micro Co-witness with VZ58/CZ858 Question

I was wondering if anyone can comment on what kind of co-witness, if at all, an Aimpoint Micro (T1/H1/R1) has mounted (directly or using the LT661 low mount) on either the NEA or B&T handguards? I'm more interested in the result on the B&T handguard as that is what I'll most likely be getting but any insights are welcome.

Do you know of any bottom handguards that have picatinny sides to mount a flashlight?

Get an burris fast fire with the picitiny protector's on a NEA gas guard and it's as good as it's going to get! As for the aimpoint micro it's more suited for the AR platform.

Thanks for the info, Satain, and while I'm also interested in the Burris Fast Fire as well, could you explain to me why the Micro is more suited to the AR platform and what problems I might encounter using it with the VZ58?

I don't know where that info came from. It's a great sight, and a great match for the VZ 58.

I just personally liked mine on my AR set-up. I tried it on my CZ 858 but didn't like it. The Fast Fire II and the Dr.Optic in the front have a light sensor diode that brightens or dims the dot according to ambient light. Were the Micro you have to physically do it yourself plus I find it faster to focus than with the micro but these are just my idea's. To each there own.

$200 USD for the FastFire version 2 and $55 USD for the protector. Delivered to my door back when the dollar was at par was just over $300 CAD. Worth every cent but the only draw back is the battery life is only;

"battery can last as long as five years."
