Came home to a Fedexed package from DS Tactical today...

It went immediately on my LMT defender which I'm pretty sure it will stay for
the rest of my life.

I came to the realization this summer that I shoot 99% of the time under 100m so a magnified optic
was just too bulky and slow for my preferred shooting.

So I sent my DMS-1 off to a good home and bought this little gem. It balances really well midway down the rail.

Wow what a nice optic...

Had a Micro T1 on there for a bit to proof the 1x on this 16" carbine but now moved it onto a shorter AR.
I think with the smaller dot on the P.R.O. it may be slightly more accurate but who am I kidding.

Do you just shoot through the clear rear cover? I think it's a neat feature, but Id pop em off before hitting the range.

Good buy, looks good. Id like to see a pic of the total set up though!

I've shot irons, scope and aimpoint and I've decided that my aimpoint is the optic of choice. Although I do occasionally shoot irons if a division is setup for it.

You're all probably getting sick of me posting pics of this damn thing. Sorry.

And a comparison between the P.R.O. and the Micro (T1 in this case)

I really like the size of the Micro and probably if I could justify having two I'd have bought another.
But The P.R.O. is pretty irresistible for the price and you can tell they didn't cheap out in bringing this product to market.

The P.R.O has a slightly larger objective which is nice but the body/tube doesn't disappear like the Micro does when aiming.
With the Micro, all you see is the dot!

The only down side to the Micro I have is the sh!t lens covers. (the ones on the P.R.O are nice and you can aim both eyes open
with the front cover down - weird)

There's no down side to the P.R.O. that i can see. Well maybe manipulating the brightness adjustment is slower using the small
knob than the large dial of the Micro.

I'll have to get them both out to the range to see what's what.

Thanks for putting up with my little show and tell. (Never got to do that in JK :D)

Oh and incidentally, I'm just as accurate with a 4MOA Aimpoint (Micro) as I was with the donut reticle on the DMS-1 at 4x.
Maybe the Swedes are putting some wierd juju in their glass. Whatever it is I like.

5 rounders help keep my ammo costs down... SERIOUSLY.

And they force me to reload which is good practice.

I have a bunch of LAR-15's with the pull tabs on the base plates but find they are hard to get a good grip on.
I like getting a mitt full of mag when I reach for one. Maybe I'll get around to making some base plate extenders that make those 10 rounders full size. Hmmmm a little duct tape and wood perhaps.

Again, my shooting preferences are probably over influenced from watching too many Magpul videos.

Isn't the Pro just a M2 Comp with a new name.
Why go old and busted when you can have the new hotness....the T1.

There is a reason they went from M2 to the M3, then the M4 and finally the T1/H1....

I would not buy a pro.

Nice Rifle :)

What are you doing with your guns that the PRO would not work for?

The best deals on Aimpoints are the C3s, and CompM2s because so many people feel the need to be seen with an M4s, when the older ones work perfectly well still.

I have a T1...I wouldn't hesitate to run a PRO. Why not? They will both work fine.

You can't go to wrong with any Aimpoint.they are a well tested/proven optic. Its just a matter of size and weight choice, and yes there is a difference between the models available.

From your video---Are your mags sticking in your gun that you need rip them out?

The T1 was a $900 optic after mount, taxes and shipping

The P.R.O. was $550.

The Micro is an awesome sight but I couldnt justify having 2 :p

Maybe I should have put the 'better' optic on the LMT and the 'cheapie' on the 7.5" AR. But the bigger sight looks better on the longer rife. And I'm all about the look ;)

From your video---Are your mags sticking in your gun that you need rip them out?

Hmmm good observation. Nope the mags do drop free.. Bad habit I guess. Glad you pointed it out. I think I am being deliberate and pulling them out since I tend to bring the gun up when I do a mag change...and because I do that the mags don't drop out.

Hehe, I should post more vids so you can see what a hack/poser I really am.

Don't let people get under your skin, the pro is a great optic for its current value/age. I personally like my H1/T1 and my Mcomp4(2m dot). had a m3 all good optics.weight is the biggest diff IMO

I would still buy a 10yr old Aimpoint for twice the money of a Vortex or a bushnell....I have had both and there is no comparison
