Aimsport inc scope mounts

Has anyone used the Aimsport inc mounts yet on their M14/M305? And is it advisable to bed it around the key slot area with some blue lock tight when mounting these mounts?
 
Well damn.. looked up the reviews and I think I won't bother mounting it (word is they're a boat anchor and discontinued ).. I'd return it but apparently the shop I bought it from won't accept returns, (won't say names they're a site sponsor)which I don't understand especially if it's never mounted and still in the package..
