Air travel with Binoculars

I've always checked them in either a suitcase or a Pelican 1750 with my noise maker.

I flew with my binos in the carry-on to make sure they arrived with me during a trip across parts of Africa. Both Edmonton and Montreal put me through secondary screening to inspect the binos, Edmonton being the most difficult as the security member wanted to disassemble the binos to see what was inside. No issues or concerns travelling through several European airports, nor anywhere in Africa during other legs of the trip.

There are no ways I would check in my Leica or Swarovski, bring them with you and they would treated like camera lens.

I got flagged at Halifax airport for bringing two glock 19 barrel in my check in, bought them from Noric Markaman for a good price while visiting family there.

Porter airline asked me to fill a form and keep asking if I have a license for that. In the form, they asked me to check the boxes that apply to the items that I declared, there aren't any boxes indicating about firearms parts, Lol. The lady keep insisting me to check the firearms box since they are all the same, Lol. What a hassle.

When I fly my riflescopes ,binos and rangefinder are all in my back pack wrapped in bubble wrap! Get pulled over and inspected everytime but get through!
