I just bought a vertical grip and cover rails for my MP15-22. I bought it....to the airsoft shop. The parts fit perfectly. Do you know if some airsoft parts are the same that I could see to the gunsmith? (I'm talking about stocks and grips.) Did you buy it to get a tactical black rifle? It is a shame on me?:p

usually airsoft products dont have the endurance of actual firearms accesories... i sadly have to say that i have been there, & done that...the ebay counterfiet crap will earn you nothing more than the title of a mall ninja... glad that these days are over.

A fellow shooter was admiring my Tango Down Qik-Detach Vert Grip.
He really liked it. Solid, Well Made and the Qik-Detach mechanism was easy to use.

He wanted to buy one but they were to expensive. So I told him.
Ebay, $12.99.

Airsoft parts for the win!!!

What's wrong with Airsoft? It seems to be looked down on commonly on this board and I can't quite figure out why?

Yeah I don't get it either, I played Airsoft for a bit when I was younger and have still have 5 or 6 guns lying around my place. Airsoft guns are legit, I can shoot them in my house.

Unfortunately the board has a number of members who want the world to accept their hobby but take great pleasure in slamming the hobbies of others. Do as I say not as I do.

Having said that keep the Airsoft parts on Airsoft guns.

I would not trust airsoft parts for anything critical or for parts where metal strength is important (ie sling attachment points, etc). For casual plinking at the range, an airsoft mount or aiming device clone will do if accuracy is not a real priority!... Rail covers will work just fine... Maybe a front grip... But you cannot trust airsoft parts if you plan on using them hard...

One thing I see going for airsoft clone electronic aiming devices is that they are so cheap that you can buy a clone (like an aimpoint Micro, Eotech or trijicon and then use it a bit to see if you like the general feel of it before sholling 600$ plus on the real thing...) You can then use the crapola clone on your airsoft!

Airsoft stuff......I rank Airsoft guys in the same catagory as people who buy "pocket pussies"......just get the real s**t ;)

.

You willing to pay for my .223 ammunition then? :D Cause my choice is to shoot plenty of .40S&W, 22LR, and airsoft BBs, or a 1/5th that amount of 223 through an AR15. And the max range of the target is 25 yards.

I agree about keeping Airsoft parts on Airsoft guns....except where it doesn't really matter. If you are not going to use stuff hard you don't need deployment grade materials the cheapers stuff should be okay. You also have to be aware that stuff may break and should expect that. Nuff said.

As far as Airsoft bashers.......so basically they are just a**holes? Okay, I can accept that.

From what I have seen and researched (little) it does seem like a fun game. I'm probably not going to get involved but I can see how people enjoy it.

This is kinda interesting actually.

I admit I purchased 1 airsoft product for my AR. It was a Magpul PTS CTR stock. Though not the "real-deal", but looking into it, the only real difference is in the quality of the polymers used to create the stock. I know, I know... you can't trust "Chinese knock-offs" (kinda a funny statement coming from an Asian guy) but the PTS branch (based in Hong-Kong) is fully endorsed by Magpul. They make everything to true spec as defined by Magpul. So if the only real difference is in the quality of the polymers, and I'm only going to the range with it, is that really so bad? Also, who's to say that the original stock (although provided by Questar) wasn't originally made in China in the first place?

Kinda an offshoot response to the thread...

I don't mind airsoft. Got a SPAS-12 by TM that the kids and I enjoy shooting in the back yard, and a TM Uzi that looks identical to the real thing (need the batteries though). Never felt like a pussy owning them, when I feel I need to "man-up" I grab my Benelli M4 Entry or AR and head to the range :D I've got an airsoft G36 carry handle to mount on my Marauder stock when it arrives (should be able to handle the recoil of .22LR I hope) and really don't care what anyone thinks of it. Each to their own ;)

The curiosity was killing me so I just bought an "airsoft" stock for $30 on Ebay to compare it to a real one. Will post a report when it gets here in a month.

I don't care much for airsoft, but why bash some other guy's hobby? Today's airsoft players are tomorrow's gun nutz...
