Evening,
I know I have read about guys using adjustable stocks from airsoft or paintball shops on their Ruger SR22. Cannot find any info now though. Wondering if anyone has done this .The ones I have seen look to be good quality and a lot cheaper.
I'm looking in the Cabela's catalog and the rear stock tubes on their airsoft guns look like they mount exactly the same. Since I am asking questions.
I am wondering what the actual name or type of tube is that threads on to the receiver is called and how you remove it?
I am sure I can figure it out, but I am hoping someone has advice or "what not to do " that will help me.
Thanks' in advance.
Ken

Buffer tube is the name of the part in question.......I've got an AR15 stock adapter on my Dominion Arms 870 clone shotgun, I'll pull apart my airsoft M16 later tonight and let ya know if the buffer tubes are compatible.

The SR22 has a mil-spec buffer. When getting stocks you have to be careful if they're for a mil-spec or commercial sized buffer tube. That being said I would not recommend an airsoft stock. I bought a Magpul CTR airsoft one and it was a piece of junk. The friction lock didn't actually work, the rubber butt pad would not stay on, and the dark earth colour isn't the same as the real deal magpul stuff. Someone had laughed at me that I had bought the "real steel" magpul mbus sights because they were sure that the PTS versions would have worked just as well. After the experience with the CTR stock I will gladly pay more if I know that I had not wasted money on junk that doesn't even work.
