Airsoft Red/Green Dot Sights

Is it just me, or is there no longer anything to do with REAL guns on Ebay anymore?

I'm looking on Ebay for a good red/green dot sight for my M14 at a good price, and it seems where there used to be tons of stuff for guns, it has all been replaced with Airsoft equipment.

Is it safe for me to assume that Airsoft equipment is NOT the same as the real thing? I'm guessing the cheap hong-kong made airsoft stuff can't handle the recoil of .308. Please correct me if I'm wrong!!

Can you recommend a good online store to find what I'm looking for? I've checked Marstar and want to compare prices.
 
actually most stuff labeled Airsoft is Chinese made stuff for real firearms but people just sell it for inflated costs to airsoft players.

A $40 Chinese knockoff rimfire scope becomes an $80 airsoft scope....

Now most of the chinese stuff couldn't handle the recoil of a .308....
 
E-bay, as part of their support for the anti-firearm groups(along with giving them part of the money from every transaction), Stateside, banned firearms and most parts long ago.
 
Don't plan on the rail chassis systems fitting with your M14 as even though airsoft is supposed to be 1:1 scale, that doesn't mean the parts are the same (granted there ARE many parts from the real guns that fit the airsoft versions but dont plan on it).
