The stock one is so tiny. Wtf were they thinking.

Basically want to buy a matching color AK-47 grip (brown that will fit the vz58) and install it on a vz58.

I don't like the ones available because their are either wood custom made ($$$) or in black plastic which looks ulgy on a rifle that is supposed to have wood.

Any suggestion ?

Want to fit something like this:

Also, contacted this guy to know if it is possible to ship to Canada. Looks promising.

the retaining ring that the original pistol grip fits into has to be removed. Once removed and a new bolt for the grip provided you shouldnt have any porblem fitting the AK grip on it.

I was going to suggest talking to Bfiles , but see he is already here .
He knows this stuff and will steer you right .

Tried it, didn't like it. The top of the grip (where it meets the bottom of the receiver) was a bit wider than the width of the receiver, so it can interfere with your safety selector if you are using an ambidextrous one.
Went with the FAB VZ grip. It's the only good thing FAB has ever produced.
I'd recommend that one. There's a reason so many people have them

I would buy the FAB one but it looks too much tacticool and its black while every other pieces is wood.

It looks retarded.

I think i'll just hold to buy a complete quality wood kit later.

A little search goes a long way...

I PM'd this dude and he sent me some nice pics of his with a Hogue AK grip, looks way better than the Fab... (looks like he took down some of his pics from the host site).

See the ring right at the top of the pistol grip just underneath the reciwver in the above picture??
That has to be removed for you to be able to install the AK grip. It will need to be ground down a bit kn the right side inorder to make the saftey selector work.
Or just dremel the tpp of the AK grip the the dimensions on the original CZ grip and slap it in there

on that particular grip you must grind the shape of the top of the orig. pistol grip into the top of the AK one so it can seat in the retaining ring. and yes you must grind to allow for selector switch if it impedes movement

.

I'd agree with you on that one, so I painted the Fab grip tan and "streaked" it with a darker brown (plus a clear coat to protect it), giving it a fake woodgrain look. Not as good as a professional job, but I didn't wanna spend $70 having it "water transferred" (or whatever that process is called).

Incidentally, the handguards in the second picture aren't wood--they are in fact applied decals!
