AK-47 STyle Mag release from sevensixtwosystems, Winnipeg, MB, Canada

Be very careful with mag fitting
A nice system, otherwise
Metal made
Canada made

Unlikely, I think
Never tried though, Just looked at the photos on line, but who knows
if you have extra 60 dollars you may try it, I guess

It could work, but id think the metal would cause extensive wear on the aluminum parts of the mag release and duckbill'ess plug over time.... best stick with polymer.

It's a 5 round rifle why the need for mags? Stripper clips!

Most black guns with larger mags are handicapped by the lame 5 round pinning in the same way.
Does not take away from the fact that this is the best looking aftermarket system of SKS detachable mags.
Systems with the duck bill look weird, and affects how the mags can be managed on person using mag pouches/holders.

I agree!!

well, if SHTF, then I think, for a couple of days, there will be more use of detachable magz+ clips
in a long run, I would just get a normal 10rd metal mag, again, if SHTF, since metal is metal after all and clips would be the way to go
for now, for hunting, transporting the rifle, loading it, in case of attack is much quicker with the mag, though some are very quick with clips, I guess

for me, having functional normal size/ structure mags is quicker than clips, and this is as long as you have loaded mags, as soon as you run off those, then clips is the way to go. current mode is specifically designed with the wing scope mount, so the clips can be used and the open sights can be used as well.
