AK 5.56 Krinkov conversion

Since the 12.5 ban has left the AKs a safe Queens I was thinking that it was time for a project. Can anyone fill me in as to the availability of the 5.56 Krinkov kits (bbl and gas assemly) and their ability to work with the Norinco AK-84s?
Alternatively has anyone had any luck with reducing the barrel and moving the front sight post?

I was also looking for an integrated front sight gas block for the R4'gery that Ive been working on:

Those look nice. The 84 can be converted to 5.45, but ammo is scarce. I have shot a converted unit and it works nice. Forget about cutting barrel, but the front sight can be moved back and a fake can put on the end.

would that ACE front sight pin also fit on a VZ58? looks the same.

I dont think so, (how would it lock?) but it could be cut down for size. The existing front sight could be moved back.

Why yes indeed some have.

The Type 56 on the left has the barrel choipped at the gas block and front sight moved back,then threaded for a krink flash hider.(not mounted in the pic)

Did the 56 above experience any gas / cycle problems? If I cant find parts I will most likely go that route. I also want to stay in 5.56 as I have mags etc.

As far as the ACE front sight I did pick one up but my gunsmith was uncertain as to the application and advised me against reducing the barrel and adding the sight. I regret this now.

I was thinking of a true Krinkov gas system such as this:

The parts seem to be hard to get and K-Var will not ship to Canada Additionally Im unsure as to the sizing and applicability of Bulgarian to Chinese applications. ANy AK experts out there?

TSE had the Krink kits a long time ago. IIRC they converted a Norc.

i was thinking of one of these, not a whole sight but the insert that old the actual sight post.

A milled receiver Krink. Never seen that before. On the shortened 7.62, just need it reverfied? I think it looks better than a Krink.
