AK Drum Pinning Solution

Just felt like I should post this as there are a few people around with AK drum mags pinned to 1 or 0 rounds and are looking at an effective way of pinning to 5.

Basicly I just rivited an "L" shaped peice of metal to the inner "wheel" that brings up solid in an rivit placed in the mag body at the point where five rounds are loaded in the mag and the mag is affixed to the rifle (to allow for bolt clearince). Simple way for some of you guys to make use of AK drums. I currently use mine on my SKSD which I've modified to accept them.

That IS pretty clever! What did you use for your 'L' piece? Or, more importantly, how thick is it?

I just used a peice of scrap metal from some kind of bracket for the "L" peice. It's about 3/16 - 1/4 thick I'd say.
