They are known for good accuracy. Just most people don't try to shoot accurately with them, or lack the skills.

It will be fun to watch his review as he goes along. I know there are a couple of CGNers with almost 10k through their rifles and they are still going strong.

Thanks for the tip.

Amazing accuracy. I wonder if the CSA version he is using is superior to some of the older VZ’s circulating here?

Now? Maybe. Back when they were blowing bolts and other parts cause they were overgassed etc? I don't know. Bought one years back and it was gonna be sent for warranty work for failing to feed, but a friend took it off my hands at a discount. Now they seem pretty squared away.

What I always wondered about the older CZ-858s was if they are using surplus parts, how much of that is luck of the draw? You get one that close to NOS or you get one with some parts that have 10k rounds on them already? That said it always makes me hesitant when a civvy company starts tryin to produce a military rifle to a price point.

As far as the language goes I'll give Rob Ski a pass on how he spells words in English lol.

A lot of the "poor accuracy" of x39 rifles in general, actually comes down to the ammo people run through them.

If you shoot 30-60 year old surplus, that's been stored in dubious conditions over that time, the powder will have degraded, and consistency will be nil.

If you use good quality commercial, modern ammo... You'd be amazed ad how much more accurate the same old beater SKS, 858, whatever, becomes.

Supposedly CSA barrels are made by Lothar Walther (match barrels). I've read that about US 16" barrels for sure, not sure about our 18.6" ones.

My CSA VZ58 is a 2 MOA rifle with Barnaul ammo.

Same here. My CZH2003s shoot the same.

I’d say the gas system is the biggest advantage for accuracy. No gas tube interference on barrel harmonics. Just a floating piston. Also the bolt locking and striker design as everything just moves fore and aft. No rotation. Just back and forth.
