For an SKS that can already accept Tapco duckbill mags, would you only need to add your magazine block the SKS to accept AK mags? Would the SKS bolt or any other part of the SKS have to be modified to accept AK mags after installing your magazine block?

It doesn't work with AK mags. Using AK mags requires extra and permanent modifications to the rifle. Our magazine block only works with modified polymer SKS magazines. We have a modification tutorial here.

Ah ok, thank you. I was going to ask how the magazine block is secured to the SKS, but I just noticed the attached screw.

AK Mag catch is in a slightly different location(lower) - you'd likely need some modification to make it work - ie a little bit of grinding & welding/silver soldering.
