AK stock

doesn't look bad with the stock folded, imho, but extended... I agree, ugh! The factory folder's a waaaaay better option for so many reasons!

Preposterous! Everyone knows the smooth edges of stamped sheet metal pressing against your face is like the gentle touch of angels themselves. And I have it on good authority you can get an amazing cheek weld with a tiny piece of metal. Snipers use the underfolding stock for that reason. It increases accuracy.

It's longer, you have to remove the mag to unfold (unlike AK), and the butt area folds at the wrong times.

It would look ALOT better if it was at least painted in grey epoxy like the rest of the metal on the rifle.
