AR Grip Adapter for AK Type Rifles. Injection molded from high impact black plastic. Use your favorite AR grip on your AK. Fits stamped and milled AK receivers. AR grip will have to be slightly modified to fit milled receivers. No modification for stamped receivers. Includes grip screw.

Anyone know how I can get this part?
Also has anyone try to mod it to work on the 858 platform?

I think Stevo's got it on his CSA Carbine. There was a thread somewhere. Cool part and I'm interested as well in what mod was required.

I did several builds with this piece. In order to use it and have everything fit snug you have to drill a new bolt hole inside your AR grip. Just a little bit of fiddling.


I do have a VZ-specific grip adapter made up and ready for release, but it's sitting on the back burner due to other larger commitments.

Cool thatz understandable are you plaining on releasing the adaptor this year cuz if not I think I will take on this project.
I just hate it when I keep on doing hillbilly mod's next thing I see is you guy's making the excate same thing minus the hillbilly part of course.

FYI I believe the magpul MOE grip has an additional hole that aligns perfectly for an ak, so you would not have to drill a hole.

Negatory. I had to hog out the regular hole, though I suppose the other might be usable depending on how you mod the adapter.

Stevo is that an NEA proto-type or is it the ACE one modified for the 858? As thatz what I am looking for.

Neit Arms had some quite a while ago.

I am running the ACE one with a Magpul MIAD on my 858. I never had to drill another hole in the grip, but I had to trim the tail of the adapter to fit into the metal grip holder. I also used a dremel to conture the front strap to get a better grip.

And no I don't have any adapters or know where to get them. I got mine from Stevo

This looks like a great idea - so many options with AR15 grips! I've dome the MIAD, TD and others - but prefer the basic A2 grip after all...

I will have to look at my MOE grip, but what I meant is that your screw should line up without needing an adapter. You would have to bore out space for the nut and cut the beaver tail but it should align.

Ah, I see. That's an interesting thought. Not sure how the front portion would fit but it's something to at least take a look at.

You will also have to deal with the metal cup that the original grip sits in. Other wise it might be hard on the top of the hand. But that is kind of what stops the grip from rotating around the screw.

Well I tried to instal it today and 20 minutes latter with the dremel here is what it looks like;

The best thing about this besides the $10 it costed was that I could choose the excate location of were to place the pistol grip. Defenatly 1 mod I would reccomend for anyone who loves the selection of AR pistol grips and would like to see it on there VZ.
