Anyone on CGN own one of these sadly-restricted beauties?

Any comments on the fit an finish, or how they've cycled with lighter loads?

I'm not a fan of the A2 sights, but I like imagining something like this with a nice little red-dot on top:

Last round bolt hold open, 5 and 5/10 round mags available, and there seem to be a few trigger and mag release upgrades out there!

I only had a chance to take mine out twice so far. No issues with 00 buckshot and slugs. Used 2 3/4 of a mix of Federal and S&B.

As for target loads, used Federal 7.5 target loads. At first, experienced a lot of FTE. Had one mag feel like a bolt action where I had to clear each shell in it. However, the more times I shot it, the better results I got. 2nd time I took it out, still had a few FTE for target loads only. Again, had no issues with buck and slug.

I ordered and installed a low recoil spring designed specifically for 2 3/4 light loads, but haven't had a chance to try it out. I've also done a few mods to it - installed AR adapter stock and rail hand-guard on it.

Dissassembly at first is a pain. There is a screw you need to take out which keeps the upper and lower together which is in the buttstock. You need a 6mm allen head as well as a 10" extension for your torque wrench to get to it. However, now that I have an AR stock on it, it is much easier to dissassemble. You need to do this in order to take the bolt out for cleaning.

Other than that, it's great, fun shotgun. Bought it because it was something completely different than what I currently have in the safe - a semi-auto, mag fed shotgun.

Mag release, bolt release, safety functionality is the same as an AR15. There seems to be more after-market parts available for this gun now. Anyways, I'll have to take more pics of it, but this is what mine looks like compared to my 16" AR.

No! Its hate! Hate based hate! Not logic or following any laws or... Hate!

Leave the emotional response to the antis when fighting the system.

The reason I give is true. It is the same reason why they restricted the design Alberta Tactical put forth, and the reason the akdal is restricted. Strip on down and look at it.

If a lower is capable of being used to fire a shot out of an AR upper, the lower will be classed as an AR design variant. Strip an akdal down and you can see how it would fire.

Not saying I like it.

Thanks for the pic Dquick! That replacement handguard looks very slick. I keep shuddering at the A2 styles I see on dealers sites, and have to remind myself "it doesn't have to be that way"

Seem to be more aftermarket handguards out there. Was seriously considering the left-side charging handle one, so you wouldn't have to take your hand off the grip to rack the slide.

It was a joke.

Ok I know can am had a thread on these a looong time ago, but I didn't know any had made it to Canada yet! Who sells them? Can am? other CGN sponsors? I need one!

need to stop making these "variants" with a hammer for striking the firing pin, or put some sort of creative stop so the hammer couldnt hit the firing pin on an AR upper

The 1919 seems to need a little break in period, but it's getting better at lighter loads as you shoot more out of it. The FPS seems to be the big thing. Ammosupply's Score slugs have it running like a champ.

Irunguns seem to bring a few small batches in every so often.

WSS's mag fed isn't one of these and theirs is apparently non-res.

You can't mate the upper from an ar and an akdal it even says so in the rcmp ruling it is restricted on appearance only.as for function I love it right out of the box it has fired ever kind of load I've tried I've even stack both 23/4 & 3 inch in the same mag no issues yet also left outside in minus 30 weather and it functions great. Mine is the newer NX model which they addressed some of the issues people reported on the original version
