I’m in the same boat. Consumed everything I could about both. I also own both.
I watched the Aussie torture test of the Chimera and it was impressive. The Chimera has the advantage of having the rail attached to the barrel - theoretically it should maintain zero better after cleaning. It is more difficult to disassemble tho.
The Alcor is lighter, easier to disassemble, and more compact. The Chimera feels like it should be a .308.
Either choice seems pretty good. The Alcor seems better aesthetically.
