I just wanted to post on this shotgun since before I purchased it I could find very little information on it. This is I think the first shotgun I have ever bought or owned in the price range so I didn't expect much.
It has a 12.5 inch barrel and I got the regular stock (pistol is available) and accepts up to 3" shells. My initial 't reports are that I am very impressed by how the gun performs.
I havn't done a ton of shooting yet but I out about 250 target loads through it and a box of slugs with absolutely no problems. it cycled well even when putting 5 through it quickly. I bought this gun as something to put in my backpack in bear country and it is so nice and short and light (with an aluminum alloy reciever) for that purpose it will work perfectly, and seems reliable as well. It is modeled after an 870 (which it does well) and the fit and finish is pretty good. (iv handled brand new remingtons that felt a lot worse). I just wanted to post this in case anyone else was looking at them to buy.

I was even able to hit alot of clays which was impressive given its open choke and short barrel. Oh and just for fun, a 3" slugs throws about a 3 foot flame out of the front under slo-mo video recording or im sure it would be quite a sight when the light gets low.

a three foot flame means that the powder is still burning when the slug leaves the barrel and you are wasting the 3" slugs powder charge. Keep an eye on the action bars. If they are putting out filings then they are wearing the aluminum receiver. If not then you are good to go. Just work the slide a bunch of times while holding it over a sheet of white paper.

That's why I said. "just for fun" when it came to the 3" slugs. mostly I just shot 2 3/4 since all im doing with 3s are burning power out of the barrel.

Don't worry about the flames ... All short shotguns do that because the powder in the shell is meant yo fully burn in a much longer barrel. The Churchill brand of shotgun doesn't have a lot of reviews out on it yet, so it will be great to hear your thoughts over time. I talked with a guy that sells them at Canadian Tire and he said they had some problems with them, but he wasn't specific and I think the low price point influenced some of his opinion. Turkish shotguns share most of the same parts, so it should be similar yo the other Turkish brands.

Well yes and no. While its true that short barrels produce a significant muzzle flash & blast, they do so with 23/4" shells as well, and the shorter shell might actually have a greater powder charge since its probably a 1 oz (437 gr) slug at 1550 fps vs the 3" 600 gr slug at 1350. Shooting over a chronograph is the only way to know for sure which load gives up more in the short tube. Don't use tactical or recoil managed ammo for real world animal defense.

All the powder is burned in the first few inches of barrel, the muzzle flash is incandescent gas that is escaping the barrel. The only time I have seen unburned powder is when the pressure was to low for the powder to burn efficiently.
