Wondering if anyone knows about these shotguns, recently inherited an Akkar 206 mid sport over under model 206SL on barrel. any idea what its worth? never heard of these before

I'm not sure but if it's made by kral in turkey. Take what you can get for it. Don't sell it to a friend. If another company does in fact make it disregard this advise. I have a setter from tristar made in Turkey from kral. I've had a lot of issues with it

It is made by Akkar who are one of the better Turkey manufacturers. Need more into however. See if it is this churchill 206 in the cat
They have made O/U from 800 bucks to 50 grand so have to nail it down further
Cheers

looks just like the churchill 206 mid sport in that catalog. but mine doesnt say churchill on it anywhere that i can see. it has 28inch barrels with extended chokes. one side of the barrel says 12 gauge 3 inch and model 206SL and the other side says samco miami florida, made in turkey. went out this weekend and put 700 rounds through it with a few friends and had no problems.

They never used the name churchill when they shipped them to North Americia. Don't think they shipped a lot of the SL's here but the base model went for 800 or so and the only SMRP I can find for the SL was 1079 so that is where you probally are for new
Reviews on the 206 don't seem negative.
In fact a 28ga Akkar 600 made one of the top 10 in 2011 shotgun review.
I have a Akkar 28ga 600 semi and a 300?? pump which I bought just because they were two new 28ga out.
Cannot tell you much other than I don't like how they fit me and the finishes are crude. Better than a rem express but no wingmasters. Both I have still never fired so cannot say more

Cool thanks for the info. I'll post a few pics when I get a chance. So far I like it a lot. Fits like a dream. I can close my eyes and shoulder it, and when I open my eyes the sights are lined up perfectly. I have only owned pump shotguns and this fits and handles much better then anything I have ever picked up before.

Nice to hear. I bet it will serve you well
Take care

Does anyone know if I can get a set of the akkar extended choke tubes in canada?

Thought Akkar and remington interchanged. next time you are at the club get one of the remington guys to try a tube in it.
If it does no problem getting remington tubes
Worst case Briley will sell them direct to you

Anyone know where I might find detailed instruction for complete disassembly? Can't seem to find any info. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Bumpity bump.

I was in P&D Enterprises earlier today and a guy was buying an O/U that caught my eye. I didn't take too close an examination because I unfortunately needed grocery money for the rest of the week. It did look quite well put together, I'm not usually a guy to go for a gun based on it's looks, but this one looked undeniably fancy.

Akkar Churchill Hunting O/U, Blued/Stainless Receiver/Wood Stock & Forend, 28"12 ga. 3" $685.

Has anyone tried this particular O/U? Any comments? Most of the information about these that I can find is several years old.

Bumping an older thread but just in case anyone was wondering..

I just purchased a Churchill O/U 12 gauge on Saturday and so far so good! Fit and finish was very good for a gun in that price range and it came with many of the same features that my buddies $2000 Beretta has.

I shot more birds than he did this weekend.
