Jeepers I just got a notice on my DCRA Facebook feed that Alain Marion has also passed on now !
Sad day for sure, an absolute rock star in the World of Full Bore shooting .
We have lost two good ones in just a few days....

There's also a post in the General Firearm Discussion forum, has some more information. As I said there, a loss of a major talent, and thoughts for his family.

Alain called recently to thank me(Hirsch P) for supporting him over the years. It was a goodbye call which was heartfelt.

He stayed with us a couple of times and I remember introducing him and Ken Westling to salmon pate, which was perceived with apprehension; then they tried it, and it was gone!

His target rifle accomplishments are on the DCRA site and I wish to add that he was a very intelligent individual who I and many others will miss.

Condolences to the family.

Peter and Donna

Very sad to hear. He was a fine gentleman - he will be remembered as a great Canadian.

RIP

One of the best TR shooter ever from Canada. Old timers at my local range who knew him all said great things about him.

Alain was a fullbore target rifle shooter - one of the best that ever competed and certainly the top Canadian by far. He was awarded the Order of Canada. He did not shoot FClass.
