Al Pomeroy 1837

Anyone have any knowledge of this old firearm ?

Fladerman lists a L.Pomeroy of Pittsfield Mass. as a private contractor manufacturing flintlock firearms for the U.S.

Pomeroy was also a civil war contractor, not a lot to be found on them. A few years back I tried as I have one that's been in the family, .........came back to Canada as United Empire Loyalists and the musket came with them but at some time was converted to cap from flintlock.
