Used the website to track down some leased crown agricultural land. Picked a few numbers and called for permission (as you are suppose to do) for the contact listed on the property, and was told that information is out of date, probably 4-5 years old.

Anyone run into the issue?

I've found a few pieces that are tree'd lots I'd like to go shoot paper on that require no prior contact, or don't list one (prior permission not required), however, I'm hesitant to go now..., don't want to be blowing off a few rounds and have someone freak out on me due to outdated information..:(

On crownland community pastures it's common to have a different lease rider almost every year, maybe that's why you were told the contact info is out of date; guy you called doesn't work there anymore? Odd that the leaseholder wouldn't update the info. Perhaps you're getting screwed around? Wouldn't be the first time that happened either.

If the contact info shows no prior contact required that's what you have to go by.

Maybe, but the guy on the phone seemed pretty sincere, so I'd like to say he wasn't jerking me around. Going to head out today to break in my new toy at a half section on the river north of thorsby, see what happens I guess.
