alberta deer hunting question

Two questions, 1) peace river area should i get a mule deer tag or whitetail????
2)where are some good areas in the peace, northern alberta area,

i know most people are not willing to give up their hot spots but i'm coming from NWT and really need to down one on my one trip down south. i'm not looking for a huge rack or anything just some meat in the freezer, any help at all would be appreciated.

Most of that area is draw only for Mule deer, get a whitetail tag and bring kleenex for all the crying you will do when you see big Mulies.

I have seen a number of your posts on other threads here and it seems you are not well prepared for your proposed hunt.

You don't seem to have a place to hunt, you don't know what licence you can or should get. It would not suprise me if you didn't know that as a "non-resident" you can not just drive down to Alberta and buy a licence and go hunting on your own. You need a WIN number. You need to go with a "hunter host" (a resident who is willing to act as your guide and this has to be arranged in advavce) or an outfitter.

OOPS! Now I see in another post you do have a hunter host friend. It would be good if your friend "guide" had found you some land and some deer. Hope you find a good spot and get lucky. Let us know how things turn out.
