Opening weekend of Alberta rifle deer season.

First deer of the day.

Last deer of the day. Saw about 120 deer on this one day. Everyone had a shot at one and three of us connected.

The trio (3 deer for 4 hunters). Two good eaters and a hog. Just have doe tags left to fill now.

Saving the cape from that one to mount with these antlers harvested a few years ago (not by me but my hunting partner). The orignal cape was ruined due to a freezer malfunction and this is the first one that comes close to being able to fit this rack.

im guessing you hit the 2 little ones with your truck on they way out to the spot you bagged the bigger one.

Alberta is crawling with deer! Every deer you shoot saves a antihunter 5,000 dollars in damage to the car.

No word of a lie. This year hunting deer has been like hunting rabbits back in PEI. They are skipping out of the bush just ahead of you every 15 minutes or so. My SBE with buckshot would have garnered me at least a dozen does and fawns that day were there tags available and if I had the desire to shoot that many deer.

Nice deer. Good job. Depending on what WMU's in Alberta, deer season has been open for rifle since Sept. 1 in the Green Zones and Sept. 17 where I live.
As to hunting deer with the pickup, one of my employee's did just over $5000 damage to his company truck 2 weeks ago. Missed a few others but the last one ran into him.
