Alberta Long Range Challange?

The ALBERTA LONG RANGE CHALLENGE for 2011 is cancelled due to a lack of shooting range. we apploigize to our SPONSORS and our COMPETITORS but this matter is just out of our hands. we are working hard with other ranges to secure our spots for 2012 but there range facilitys will not be done in time for this year. I guarentee that we will be up and running in 2012 and look forward to everyones support that we have had over the last four years.

sorry

Damn. I have been working straight through the winter to take April and May off to actually get some trigger time in. I didn't want to shyte the bed like I did last year. Any word on when Genesee will be open again? I have heard that the issue is also a lease road running along the hill behind 600-700. If that is the case, it will be closed indefinitely.

I was talking to some of the shooter at the last C.H.A.S. gun show and the word is that some one is planing a long range ( 1500m) shoot over a weekend this summer by nordegg

I would like to here more about this or who i would have to talk with to get in on something like that.

I'm sure that other ranges would be more than happy to have Mutt do an event, even if it is temporary.

The Nordegg shoot might just be the future i.e. if no range will (or can) take you, have a spontaneous event on crown/private land. The restricted gun owners will be sol :(, but at least the bolt action crowd will be happy.

Don't worry guys the ALRC will be back next year and will be better than ever. However it will not be held at CHAS's excuse for a range. For the event to keep growing we need a club willing to work with us. We are working on that right now and hope to be ready for next year.
