Alberta Provincials

Seems my Ricky Bobby "Checkers or Wreckers" motto doesnt really fly against the top guys in the division. Blowing a couple stages really hurts. Back to the drawing board. Overall a good experience - my first level three match.

Shooting with Manny Bragg was the best shooting experience yet. Learned the most at a match since shooting one day with Nick K.

Nationals a month away!
 
Had a whole bunch of fun, despite a medeocre shoot:(
It was busy days followed by busy nights, so I'm leaving the monkeys at home next year.:onCrack::D
 
The ones I saw were "breaking 90". There was lots of potential for that in two stages, as well as sweeping oneself on the "ports" stage and, generally, things like finger in the trigger guard while clearing malfunctions.
 
One guy got mad after getting to reposition his belt :confused:(wasn't supported by any pants loops).......he when in the back of the range an just took it off with pistol and all :eek: then he when to the Safe area and put the belt on the table:shotgun:got DQ shortly after.....

At least two others for finger in the trigger during reload....

Was there loaded mags in the belt? If not why the DQ?
 
The guy was tossed and got back in then tossed again for 90.

A lot of noob shooters in Alberta. A good problem - the sport is growing fast here.
 
Different guy. One guy got tossed for sweeping himself. He arbitrated and it won and was reinstated in the match. He then came out of a door and turned the wrong way breaking 90. He knew it a stopped right as the RO's called him.

yes there was, even so the rules state you are not allowed to take your gun off even if it remains in the holster.

Couple of guys for dropping guns.

At least three arbitrations,

One with overloaded mags, by accident

Several for breaking 90, there was a lot of tight stages.

Also finger in the trigger while clearing a malfunction seemed to be popular.

Good to know on some of the stage components since Nationals are at that range next year.

and yes the mag's were in the belt... 10.5.12 - You can have loaded mags on your person in the safety area, you just can't handle ammo or the loaded mags
