Did anyone got an approval recently in Alberta? I am still waiting on my transfer from June 3. Any info is appreciated. TIA

yes. I was approved on June 22 for a purchase made on June 4 [well technically June 5th since it was after hours that I purchased] if this was your first restricted you might be one of the lucky ones who has to wait for their "questionnaire" about your storage and reasons for purchase.

Ive been waiting over 2 weeks. called and got through last week and they said could be 4 to 6 more weeks. new purchase from store FYI

Oh boooooy..... I was starting to think mine might be coming any second now (june 10 retailer purchase).... but 4-6....more... weeks , in Alberta , yikes.

Yeah the lady said it may come faster but might take a long time. I'm not to worried about it, happy what I wanted was available when i was in looking.

As a data point, I bought one on the 3rd, shipped and approved by the 14th. The next order was on the 4th, no word on it yet. Called the CFO and no help, they’re backlogged and apparently (as of yesterday) processing transfers from the 1st which makes no sense but here we are. Maybe I triggered some kind of manual review?

Just be patient, I bought two pistols and a revolver almost a month ago, after making few hundered phone calls, was able to complete the transfer for one pistol that was bought from a fellow gun nut but was told by the guy at CFC that it will take a few weeks to get the paper work, other two are from dealers, no word on those yet.

I called the CFO the guy who answered told me to wait for another month and if I still haven't gotten them, then I should call again.

'Goat Roping' is the term we are looking for to describe the scenario at hand.
Be easier if it was all the way 3rd World civil service... could just palm someone a 50 and be done with it

Nephew bought a handgun from Nordic on June 3rd. Transfer notice received June 20th and handgun delivered June 27th. He just got his registration certificate today, July 5th.

Ordered June 4th, still nothing. I got through yesterday to check my status, all is in order, this was after four call drops. The polite woman stated it was supposed to be two to three weeks. I asked to be transferred to the office of the Alberta CFO after the woman indicated another two to three weeks was the likely scenario. The transfer was supposedly done but I simply got looped back to the original site, after 45 minutes my call was dropped once again. This is starting to be even more frustrating than dealing with Service Canada. Under the turd it seems like all the government agencies have gone downhill in a dramatic manner. I’m starting to think it’s not incompetence, but Lieberal design, which are likely one and the same. This is definitely not the country I grew up in and served for three decades. Time for some spiked coffee.

I had ordered on June 1st and 3, they were all approved, but my June 7th order is still on CFO desk for approval. I was on the phone with CFP yesterday with a transfer and asked them to confirm.
