Hey guys, looking into custom AR's. Anyone have one built by ATRS? What do you think? Worth the coin? Any pics? I sure like some of the features on their lowers but, they are quite pricey at $635 with milspec LPK. You can get a Spikes Tactical lower with LPK and Magpul Moe Grip and CTR buttstock for $499 so the price is quite high. Are they worth the extra coin? Thanks

i have never shot one, but the ones I have seen look very nice and their owners are very pleased with them.

I had ATRS put together an upper for me. They did a superb job on it. However when i first got it, there was a problem with the gas tube sitting too deep into the receiver. After talking to them I sent them back my upper and they constructed a new barrel for me for no additional charge. Good guys to deal with.

here's what my build ended up looking like:

they can do pretty much anything from a full out custom build or a build to your exact specifications - as they did in my case

They seem to have a lot of faith in their product, so much so that they have provided our range with a rifle for rental use. We are trying hard to break it, but it just keeps going....

I have one of their uppers. I'm happy with it. It did some nice damage to the prairie dog population in South Dakota this spring.

Had a small problem wit losing a screw from the JP handguards. They promptly sent me out a replacement. I'd certainly buy from them again.

That's called getting the end user to pay for the advertising lol.

I think if more manufacturer's sent rifles to ranges for trial, they'd sell a lot more rifles. But then again, I'm not an economist, though I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I always thought getting your gear out to and winning in competitions would be the best marketing. The problem is and always will be that the shooter is 90% of winning and people remember the guy with the $4000 AR stinking it up.

I'm pretty happy with with the quality of their stuff! Customer support is top notch, I had some cosmetic complaints and Rick couldn't be more helpful!

After shooting the Swiss Arms SAPR, I lost interest in my ATRS build so my parts are for sale.
