Crusader Arms SPORT CONVERSION KIT: Stock/Grip Adapter w/ MLOK Handguard for the Akdas Alcor 223 Hunting Rifle

Incudes: Adapter, Folding ACR style stock, AR Grip & MLOK Handguard

The Crusader Arms Sport Conversion Kit: is an adapter and pistol grip system with an MLOK handguard for the Akdas Alcor 223 that is made specifically with sport shooters and competitors in mind. The Sport Conversion Kit Stock adapter system is designed to allow shooters the ability to fit the included ACR style collapsible and folding stock and AR pistol grip (included) onto their Alcor 223 Rifle. The versatile telescoping stock adapter system can be fitted with a standard AR-15 grip of your choice should you choose to swap out the included A2 grip. The ultra functional stock enables sport shooters to instantly adjust the length of pull of the telescoping stock in order to accommodate differences in individual body sizes or use of sport shooting gear and equipment. The folding aspect of the stock allows the ability to store the fire more compactly and conveniently in cases for travel. The 2 piece aluminum MLOK handguard allows for users to easily attach accessories such as lights, foregrips & sling mounts.

With the Sport Conversion Kit the ACR Style telescoping folding stock system replaces the Alcor 223 factory stock. The stock adapters provide an AR type sight alignment allowing the use of standard AR optics and Iron Sight in perfect position with little to no adjustment. The Crusader Arms ACR style stock incorporates 2 QD sling attachment points.

Features:

  • Adapts ACR style Folding stock and AR pistol grip for use with AKDAS Alcor 223 Rifle
  • Stock adapters are 6061 aluminum, CNC machined and Anodized black with a tough finish.
  • Adjustable length-of-pull (LoP) to fit shooter’s stature or for use with gear and other equipment.
  • Gives the Alcor 223 Hunting rifle similar handling characteristics to a Competition style rifle
  • Collapsible stock makes the rifle easier to stow, transport and deploy.
  • Pistol grip configuration allows increased control and user comfort.
  • Sling attachment points included.
  • included 2 Piece aluminum MLOK hand guard allows mounting points for lights, foregrips & other accessories to attach easily.
  • No gunsmithing required.

Cool! Might be the new standard, have to import a firearm in hunting mode and then convert it locally. Hopefully it won't get noticed by anyone against sports shooting...

Glad to see Crusader found a way to use there investment in manufacturing the stocks, and a way to use their aluminum CNC machines. The True North, strong and free!

That's a very interesting grip angle given the space constraint. Wondering how good it'll feel in hand with alternate grip styles that isn't A2.

Hate to be the one to say it, but….
Was really looking at one of these until this came out. The Ruger PC would probably have slipped under the radar, like the Henry Homesteader, in its original configuration. But we had to “tacta-cool” it, and look where it got us. Hope that this isn’t what brings the wrong attention to this much needed addition to the Canadian market.

Any plans for a similar kit for the Citadel 308? You may also want to partner with the fellow making SKS chassis; the Crusader stock would make a nice alternate to those who don't want the Remington-style metal folder, if Crusader has a 1913 variant of the stock to work with the 1913 stock SKS chassis.

You may want to figure out the cost to ship these to Australia. I suspect their push button bolt release version of the Alcor would still work with this kit, and it would be good to have another market for it.

By this logic (and let's face it, logic is non existent in Canada) wait till they find out about the Ruger 10/22.

They will ban all semis regardless of appearance.

Sharing that concern...although I think it eventually gets the axe anyway, since it takes an AR mag.

Might as well configure it how you want in the meanwhile?

I agree. Those pesky detachable mags have been on their radar for a while. I’m just hitting a point where I really don’t need another $2K languishing in a safe, unable to be used, for who knows how long. It would be nice if a new one came out, and was out long enough to get some use out of it, before it became a permanent safe resident. Thought maybe the Crypto would make it….i was wrong.

That grip angle looks oblong. Anyone had a chance to handle it or shoot it yet?

I love the concept of a platform including both types of hardware. Sometimes its hard to come across the entire set if you want it without spending more money on shipping or being available from only a couple retailers. Kudos for bringing them in

It looks like a strange grip angle, very near vertical.

I’ve handled a couple AR15’s with similar grip angles and not had any issues. The MPA EVG is an actual vertical grip for an AR15.

I won’t know until I try it. I don’t expect it to be an issue. I’ve also purchased the ‘other’ manufactures kit for it - so I can mix and match between the two kits to get what I think feels is best.

I’ve already got my other kit but I’m waiting for my 2nd Alcor to show up so I can keep the one I have stock. I quite like the bare bones Alcor. I even stripped off the red dot it had to keep it sleek and classic looking. If it was wearing the Henry, Ruger, or Remington name it’d be an instant ‘must have’ rifle.
