Alfa Revolver trouble with 22 WMR in Double action

I have this nice shooting Alfa revolver but its not reliable shooting 22 mag ammo in double action.

Winchester and Hornady won't work but they are great in single action. The gun is accurate as heck. I think the importer swapped out the hammer spring so it will be easier to shoot. I will find out and try a heavier spring. It shootings 22lr with another cylinder very reliably.

What's your experience with 22 mag handguns does the harder priming ring affect you?????
 
I have one of these Alfa 22lr/22wmr steel guns. It too has some misfires in DA when shooting 22wmr. I looked at it more closely lately and noticed that in DA the hammer comes back much less before releasing then it does in SA and therefore stands to have a softer strike in DA. In DA it has a misfire about 1/6 of Hornady, 1/40 of CCI. When shooting DA with Remington it has not misfired in the 70 rounds I fired. Therefore for DA I use Remington as my go to ammo. In lr I get some misfires with Winchester M22. To be fair that crap misfires a lot in all my 22's.

I also have a Savage 22wmr. That rifle sometimes misfires on the CCI ammo I shoot in it. Could be something about wmr primer not going off easy from lighter strikes.

I seen your first post and vid on the subject and went ahead an bought one anyway. So far the only 100% reliable ammo in wmr that works in DA is Remington. This is obviously a design flaw from Alfa Proj. I would opt for a higher spring strength and sacrifice an even harder DA trigger pull to ensure reliability. I must research the manual as it might be written there how to adjust it. BTW I believe you and me have the stock spring. The after market one is not from Alfa but rather something Rusty Woods puts out for $10.

Thanks Moe I will try and get my hands on some Remington 22 wmr. I am going to see if I can find a spring that will work or a spacer that will give me a little more power. Friggen accurate gun though. I bought it to shoot 22lr mostly but I want to get the 22 magnum working.
 
Just noticed in the manual page 11. "Adjusting of Trigger Strength". Could be the solution. Will fart with it tomorrow.

edit: After taking the thing apart I now believe simply adding washers under the main spring might work.

SOLVED ! - I placed a bushing about 3/16 thick under the main spring in place of the washer. Whala! No more misfires in DA and 22wmr. With any ammo I tried. Including CCI and Hornady. Didn't even notice a change in trigger pull weight.
