Hi all,

Tried to search and couldn't find the answer.

I am newbie and just got my savage mark 2 (finally.. ).. super excited for the shooting at range.

Questions on the ammo:
* Can the ammo goes off if I drop a box of 500 22LR? if so, does the bullet come out from cartridge? just afraid if I slip from parking lot to range due to muddy condition ... etc.
* What is the best ammo box to store? plastic or?
* What is the proper way to dispose dud ammo?

if they go off, you need to buy a lotto ticket asap!

2. store it in the package it ships/comes in, or anything you want other then a micro wave or oven (unless you never use them)

3. for 22's you can just get pliers and just bend the bullet (projectile) off and burn the gun powder off for fun. otherwise once you build up enough i believe the police departments will dispose of them for you.

otherwise your range should have a dud box to dump then into.
 
In reguards to the duds I take all duds and empty casings from the local ranges in the KW area procces them and dispose of them safely. (Recycle the lead and the brass accordingly after I disarm the duds)
