All Swiss Arms bayonet lugs are upside down??

So I was over at a friends doing the usual bulls**tting and playing with guns and the subject of bayonets came up. After looking at some nifty items he has we decided to mount his Swiss Arms bayonet on his Swiss Arms Classic Green. He had never mounted the bayonet.

It would not mount. Seems the bayonet lug was installed upside down. Upon checking his other Swiss Arms, the bayonet was also upside down. I just cruised the Swiss Arms photo thread here on CGN, and all the ones I saw were upside down. We flipped the lug around and it mounted just fine.

If the notch is on the bottom, a SAN bayonet won't mount. Just thought I'd share.

We were thinking maybe they did it on purpose. Bayonet lug, but useless. Who knows?

Yeah they must be doing it on purpose. When i was working at The Shooting Edge another employee bought the Rifle/ Bayonet and had to change it. We checked the other 30 something rifles in stock from multiple shipments and they all had it upside down. Along with Demo guns from some of the first shipments.

I don't know what your talking about.... I mounted the swiss arms bayonet no problem. No mods or anything. Are you sure you have the swiss arms bayonet?

That's how it's supposed to be.

The new Ultimate Ratio bayonet requires the lug to be turned over. The lugs are set up for the older style bayonets. I have no idea why this was done.

Yes, the bayonet was the Ultimate Ratio (I think), so I guess that's why the lug needed to be turned.
