Looking for anyone with experience with the BE-86 powder in pistols. Specifically metering and how dirty/clean it is. I have good results with power pistol and 2400like the way they perform. I've found this on sale for $21/lb looking for feedback before I jump on buying some.
Thanks

It works but like any powder it depends on what you're looking to load. The Lawry deal has you thinking about it eh?

Exactly If it was basically power pistol with flash suppression Id be good with it. I'm curious on how it would work in full power 9mm and 45 colt and mid level 44 mag

I can only speak towards using it in 9mm and 5.9gr with a 124gr FMJ bullet = approximately 1200ish fps from a 5" barrel (and it can be pushed even harder if you like to test/develop loads). That's more zip than I can handle, lol.

I bought a pound when the local stores were out of bullseye.

It ran a bit cleaner than Bullseye and with less flash. No metering issues.

I like it and i'm loading up some in 38 special right now (4.1 grains with 357 grain CanPros = 750 fps, 4 inch S&W; a medium target load). I will probably buy more if it become available at a reasonable price. Alliant has some loading data online.
